Energy Utilities Infrastructure Line Route Projects Orogen is currently undertaking four Line Route Assessment projects (Corowa, Grafton, Macksville, Dubbo), which includes the preparation of supporting EIA documentation for the preferred route. Orogen works in conjunction with an electrical engineering design firm to determine the most technically feasible, cost effective and environmentally sound routes. Reporting includes Route Options studies, Line Route Selection reports and Reviews of Environmental Factors. Orogen also organises and undertake the negotiations for line easements with the various affected landholders. Martins Creek and Dungog Zone Substations Upgrades Orogen is preparing REF's for the upgrade of two Zone Substations at Martins Creek and Dungog. Both projects involved close liaison with the local authorities to determine approvals processes for the upgrades and acquisition and subdivision of adjacent land. The studies were undertaken in a quick timeframe to enable the proponent to proceed with delivery of construction of the upgrades. Macksville Zone Substation Orogen, in conjunction with an electrical engineering design firm, was commissioned to determine the most technically feasible, cost effective and environmentally sound site for a new Zone Substation at Macksville on the NSW north coast. The project also involved determination of an interconnecting high voltage line route to the substation. Reporting included Site Option and Route Options Studies, Line Route Selection reports and Reviews of Environmental Factors for the substation site and line route. |
